My back is back...

After three months of varying levels of pain and mobility, my back seems to have decided to get with the program and allow me to start training again. Per my own and other's advice, I have eased back into Iaido, and am feeling pretty good, although my back is still tight/has a "not quite 100% healed, but I'm willing to let you walk again" feeling to it. The constant pain is gone, but still has periods where it will ache a bit just to let me know to not get to feeling too froggy just yet. But if I be careful and avoid doing stuff like lugging 32" vacuum tube 30Kg+ TV's up 5 flights of stairs...It should be OK in another couple of weeks.

I #%$ miss doing Aikido!! Got to do 3 minutes of Shihonage on Elvis at Iaido training today, and IMMEDIATELY felt more centered/focused after our little demo. The end/start of the fiscal year in Japan is April 1st, so right now us "salarymen" are busy as hell w/ the inevitable BUTTLOAD of work that gets piled on most people this time each year. I'll be glad when April gets here...the volume of work should drop off dramatically, and I can engage in the ancient Japanese tradition of "drink yourself to the point where Janet Reno looks shaggable" otherwise lknow as Hanami/cherry blossum viewing...
