My 'Weird Al'/Madonna day was...

on Sunday, 'cause I was:

"Like a surgeon, cuttin' for the very first time..."

Had my first go at cutting with a REAL Nihon-to, a Koto-period (pre 1500's) blade that was just barely long enough to avoid being called a wakizashi. Naturally my first cut was a complete abortion, but by the end of the 2-hour session I was making fairly consistent clean cuts. I am hooked; I have found my new drug. Both the Baby Jesus and Buddy Gettan say that cutting shit with blades that are older than my country of birth is TOTALLY DOUBLE GONZO, LIVE AT BUDOKAN, COOL AS HELL!!!

As you may surmise from the name, I am a former U.S. Marine ('88-93 active '96-'98 Reserves), and am trying to follow the path of the warriors that have preceded me down the superior path/lifestyle that warriorship encompasses.
